Patent Vinyl Vader, It Is

2012 was not only a great year, it also re-ignited my childhood love of Star Wars! It ended with me most recently completing a super special, shiny Darth Vader Soft Figure Case. Vader is heading to it’s new home, Rancho Obi-Wan! I feel so honored for it to be going to such a good home, and to someone who appreciates Star Wars like no other!

This is the first time I’ve worked with patent vinyl, and although it’s ridiculously slippery material to work with, the pay-off is totally worth it. I just hope the new owner can look past my grubby finger-print marks from handling it so much. So, so soft and supple, guh……..

If you weren’t able to make it to the opening on August 2nd, this show will be up until the first week of September. If you’re anywhere in the northwest, you better high-tail it to Portland to check out this show as it’s packed full of absolutely mind-blowing art as well as an amazing line up of artists.

Brain Drain Piñata

It’s that time again…. finally nearing ‘summer’ and pent up rage/anger/depression over the long, cold, rainy months in Seattle and we’re ready to beat out all that frustration in the form of piñata bashing; Brain Drain Style!

This year I told myself I’d downsize this piñata as they always end up being way too big and loads of work; yet somehow this one turned out bigger than ever at 4ft tall! (sigh) Just that much more satisfying beating it to the ground!
